Malibu Sea View Estate is not the kind of place you can find on a map. That’s exactly what the founders intended. This estate was built to be entirely private, so you can plan your ideal celebration without having to worry about onlookers. They regularly rent out the space to films, television shows, and photo shoots, offering picture-perfect locations ideal for pretty much every kind of party. Not only are you going to get exclusive access to the venue, but you are also going to get world-class spaces where you can spend every second of your wedding day in luxury. From pre-ceremony drinks to after-party celebrations, this venue is ready to go the distance!




Details of the Grounds
With Malibu Sea View Estate, your wedding will start out inside the mansion, where you can get ready alongside your party. This space has been equipped with everything you need, offering stylish furniture, private rooms for changing, and a full kitchen for drinks and snacks. The interior was designed to give you the classic Malibu style while serving as a blank slate so you can remain the star of the show. With white walls and ceilings, large windows, and glass balconies, it is ideal for candid pics.
The venue offers a ceremony site that overlooks the ocean. This is at the farthest end of the plot, putting you next to the best views nature has to offer. The side shows off the slope of the neighboring mountain, while the back has a stone retaining wall and stairs leading to your ceremony. When you pair this with the aisle of your choice, you will be able to make a grand and dramatic entrance that no one will forget.




Once it is time for your cocktail hour, your guests can head back to the mansion’s patio as you take your pictures. People can sip wine or play lawn games while taking full advantage of the view.
Your reception takes place in the event lawn between the patio and the ceremony site. This area is perfectly flat, making it ideal for dinner and dancing. When I worked with Isabel and Matt on their Malibu Sea View Estate wedding, they went all out, bringing a dance floor lit up by a custom chandelier. They also set up a loveseat at the front of the space where they could sit as their friends and family shared speeches. The classic Malibu views served as the best backdrop for the vintage Hollywood vibes of their day.




Photography Opportunities
As I mentioned earlier, Malibu Sea View Estate is frequently used for films and photo sessions. As a result, every inch of this property is ready to serve as a backdrop for your pictures.
You can start out the day inside the house, taking candid pictures while you get ready alongside your wedding party. With the white walls and ceilings combined with the black furniture and cabinets, every wedding style will fit right in. Because Matt and Isabel chose a black and white theme for their wedding, the decorations of the house complemented them perfectly. We also used the balcony to get pictures of Isabel with her bridesmaids.



The ceremony site will be the best spot for your group portraits. You will be able to choose from several backdrops, including the mountains and the ocean. Because the yard is completely level, people of all ages and abilities should be able to access this area.
Once it is time for your couple’s portraits, you can stick around the ceremony site before moving on to the rest of the property. The open green yards in front of the waves will give you a stunning spot to share an intimate moment together.



Wedding Details
Malibu Sea View Estate is going to serve as the backdrop of your wedding while giving you the freedom to do whatever you need to host the day of your dreams. The first thing you need to know is that they work by referral only. They work hard to maintain exclusivity, ditching the blanket approach you might find with other venues. You will need to be referred by a qualified party and will have a limited number of dates to pick from. If they do select you, they are going to give you their full attention, helping you figure out every detail so you can have a celebration that suits you.




They keep their address hidden to ensure no one can stumble upon their location. If you want to work with them, they will start out by scheduling a private tour so you can see the site for yourself. They will send you the address after you schedule it.
The venue has a few nearby hotels that they recommend using for your guests. While they do have a limited parking lot, I would suggest finding transportation options to make things easier. The venue will also provide you with a separate parking lot for your vendors.



You will be able to bring in your own catering and bartending services. Matt and Isabel brought in a few additional unique services, including a tattoo booth. Truly, this is the perfect place to plan the day that celebrates you!
While Malibu Sea View Estate has a recommended capacity of 150 guests, it can accommodate up to 250.
